Scheduling Appointments
Scheduling an appointment to see a doctor should not be an ordeal. Dr. Skaggs makes every effort to be available to you as quickly as possible if you are ill, and also attempts to prevent long waits for routine follow-up visits.
Regular hours during which appointments are generally available are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 to 4:30, and Tuesday from 8:00 to noon.
Appointments may be requested by calling 859.276.5566 at any time of the day or night: just leave a message requesting an appointment. The messages are checked at least hourly from 10:30 to 5:00 during the week, and at least twice daily on weekends and holidays. Dr. Skaggs also usually checks the messages about 9:00a.m., before coming to the office, in case anyone has left a message early in hopes of scheduling for a same day visit. (Of course if you are calling during office hours, there is a pretty good chance Dr. Skaggs will answer the phone, and you won’t have to leave a message.)
Email provides another option for requesting NON-URGENT visits, but please realize that email cannot be as readily checked as phone messages, so there may be a longer delay in response to an email request than a telephone request. You should also bear in mind that email messages sent from this site are not secure, so no personal details or sensitive information should be conveyed in this way.
When appointments are needed on weekends, holidays, or after regular hours, special arrangements can be made. Please be aware that such visits are subject to an administrative fee which may not be covered by your insurance plan.
